Eva-Marie Perissinotto is a dramatic soprano based in Brisbane, Queensland.

 

A graduate from the University of Western Australia, holding a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) as well as a PhD, Eva-Marie turned her attention to operatic singing in 2010 

 

Her performed roles have included Chrysothemis (Elektra), Die Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos) Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena), Witch/Mother (Hansel and Gretel), Musetta (La Boheme), Despina (Cosí Fan Tutte), and Josephine (HMS Pinafore).

 

Oratorio performances have included Brahms' German Requiem; Haydn's Nelson Mass; Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace; Rutter's Requiem; Haydn's Missa Brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo; Duruflé's Requiem; Bach's Mein Herze Schwimmt im Blut BWV 199; and Vivaldi's Gloria

 

As concert soloist Eva-Marie has appeared with South Side Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic South West, and Fremantle Symphony Orchestra, with repertoire including Strauss' Vier letzte Lieder (Four Last Songs) and Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer).

 

Eva-Marie is an active creative producer. Her 2017 solo show Dream of Childhood's End, a staged performance of Mahler's Kindertotenlieder (Songs on the Death of Children) and Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, received rave reviews as part of Fringeworld Perth. In 2023 Eva-Marie self-produced a concert combining Negro Spirituals and the Carter Cantata with the complete Dvorak Biblical Songs as part of the Con Spirito Lunchtime Concert series. She also self-produced Crown of Aves, featuring Gorecki's O Domina Nostra and a selection of Ave Maria's by Piazzolla, Mascagni, Verdi, Rheinberger and Rombi. Early 2024 saw Eva-Marie perform in the Ballarat Goldfields organ festival alongside organist Dominic Perissinotto and trumpeter Anthony Pope.
